Extract from a DVD with Douglas Harding about his life and philosophy. When interviewer Richard Lang refers to "seeing this", at the beginning of the clip, he means his Original Face, what we look like at distance zero.
Bruno Monsaingeon's film is originally 157 minutes. This clip suddenly cuts out, alas, at 46 minutes. However, at least we hear Gould talking about his eternal companion, his chair--closer to him than even Bach. We find out Orlando Gibbons is his favorite composer because Gibbons is spiritually the highest; Bach is a master technician. Gould plays Bach, Shoenberg, and ?Gibbons. Please excuse the French; it only appears in the first few minutes.
